How DNA protects your data and your clients’ information

Your Data Belongs to You

All information entered or uploaded into DNA is first-party data.
This means it is owned by you and your clients, not by DNA.

  • We do not own your data.

  • We do not sell your data.

  • We do not share your data with unrelated third parties.

Our only role is to securely store your information and use it to support the tools and features you rely on.

Data Is Never Shared Between Accounts

Client information is never shared, pooled, or visible across different DNA accounts.
Each advisor or organization has its own completely separate and isolated environment.

Your clients’ information stays private to you and your team only.

Helix AI Is Isolated and Private

Helix AI (DNA’s built-in AI engine) operates within your account only and does not use your data to train or improve any external or public global AI models (eg ChatGPT).

  • Helix AI does not store your data outside your account.

  • Your client information is never shared with other users or accounts for AI purposes.

Each account has its own private, contained AI experience that works solely with the data you provide.

Your Data Stays in Canada

All DNA servers and data storage systems are located in Canada.
This ensures your information remains protected under Canadian privacy and data-protection laws.

This applies to advisor information, client data, and uploaded documents.

How Your Data Is Used

DNA collects only the information needed for the platform to function. This includes:

  • Client details you enter

  • Uploaded documents

  • Information used for analysis, reporting, and recommendations

Your data is used only to support your workflows, including needs analysis, document generation, and Helix AI insights.

We do not use your data for advertising, external analytics, or unrelated purposes.

How We Protect Your Data

We use industry-standard security practices to keep your information safe:

  • Encrypted data storage

  • Encrypted data transmission

  • Strict access controls

  • Secure handling of all uploaded documents

  • Ongoing monitoring and internal security reviews

These measures help protect your information from unauthorized access or misuse.

Your Rights and Control

You remain in full control of the information you enter into DNA.

You may request to view, update, or remove personal data in line with privacy laws.
You can also withdraw certain types of consent, such as marketing communications.
